HERE ARE LOS WAKAMONOS
HOT OFF THE PRESS, IT'S THE LONG AWAITED NEW RELEASE FROM GO APE RECORDS: LOS WAKAMONOS FOUR FANCY ELEKI HITS. THIS TREBBLE, FUZZ AND REVERB SATURATED 4 SONG 7" EP WILL MAKE YOR SPEAKERS SQUEAL LIKE A PIG. IT'S ABSOLUTELY PRIMITIVE!

Los Wakamonos "4 Fancy Eleki Hits" is the newest release from Brooklyn's favorite DIY label, Go Ape Records. Los Wakamonos (roughly translated - The Young Men) is a demented "eleki" duo hailing from Okayama, Japan. Making their international vinyl debut, the emperors of eleki's rough & ready brand of garage & surf instrumentals will make your speakers squeal like a pig. I don't know if they surf on Monster Island, but if they do, I'd bet dollars to donuts Los Wakamonos is blasting out of every transistor radio along that beach. If you like treble squelching, fuzzed-out, reverb drenched guitar coupled with primitive, bombastic drums, check out the two-headed Beast from the East, Los Wakamonos. This is a very ltd edition 4 song EP mastered by the garage master himself, Tim Warren of Crypt Records. It is a fuzz & reverb saturated head-first foray into the frothy depths of the primitive. Los Wakamonos are truly the contemporary emperors of eleki.

What people are saying about Los Wakamonos:

Mike Rowell of SF Weekly, "It gave me the slow-motion Cramps."
Michael Chandler of Lost Crusaders & Raunch Hands, "My oriental brothers!"
Tim Warren of Crypt Records, "I love the damaged sound"
Michael Lynch, Ugly Things contributor, "digs the fuzzfest freakout that is '4 Fancy Eleki Hits!!'
Miriam Linna of Norton Records and The A-Bones, "Who did the cover?"

IT HAS RISEN...
DIRECT FROM HOLLYWOOD CEMETERY

Six Feet Under The Mason Dixon Line

First there was Screaming Lord Sutch, then Alice Cooper and then the Misfits. Now there's Direct From Hollywood Cemetery. DFHC's debut EP on Go Ape! Records dispatches a swift kick to the gonads of your rock-n-roll fantasy.

With an organ-driven garage-punk sound more furious than a barrel of evil monkeys, DFHC reaps souls first and asks questions later. Incredibly, the band blends elements of Roky Erickson, Meat Loaf and televangelism into an evil pastiche of dual guitar madness.

With the right Rev. Phineas Fangs crooning like a bat out of Hell and the lovely Lucretia Secretions responding like a chorus of sirens, each song is a wicked sermon inflicting upon its devoted laity an ungodly clamor executed with all the panache and savoir-faire of the Piper himself.

So, if you've never seen one of their spine-tingling live performances, do your soul some justice and experience the next best thing: the new ltd. edition 7" EP on Go Ape! Records. The A side is the lascivious show stopper "It Ain't Cheatin' With Me." It's fast, furious and just a little cheeky. The flip side delivers two monstrous ravers, "The Snake" and "Fan The Fires."

It's a wicked foray into the netherworld of Rock-N-Roll that just can't be ignored and a must for any vinyl nut. The very limited pressing of 500 is going fast so don't snooze! Pay a meager $5.00 now or thru the nose later on some on-line auction. Shipping in U.S. and Canada is $5.00 and the rest of the world is $8.00. Cheap!

The Heckelrs: Go Ape Records first ever recording artist. If you're a fan of good ol' fashion KBD-style no-frills rock-n-roll and love to collect 45's then you won't be disappointed by this slab. The band rips through two original tunes on the A side, My Head and Walking Like A Panther, and deliver a balls-out version of The Rubinoos' Rock-N-Roll Is Dead on the flip.
