From the home movie collection of local Holly Springs, MS resident Johnnie Smith. Junior Kimbrough and the Soul Blues Boys play two songs at her father\u2019s, John Smith\u2019s horse farm located on Hwy 309 near Holly Springs. May 4, 1989 (8 mins. video) Joe Ayers smoking on bass, drums \u201cAllabu Juju\u201d.<\/p>\n

Excellent quality footage captures the atmosphere of a Mississippi juke joint unfiltered. After Junior performs he consents to an interview where he talks candidly about his style of music, Cotton Patch Blues. This part of the film served as the Q\/A section of \u201cJunior Kimbrough: Mississippi Juke Joint Blues,\u201d Guitar Player \u201c, Aug. \u201995. Filmed Sept. 23, 1990, 58 mins.<\/p>\n
