In celebration of Black History Month the RL BOYCE Picnic & Blues Celebration is celebrating the African American residents of Como MS. with a photo exhibition by John Shaw, and live Blues Jam with Como’s BIG BLUES MANE Grammy Nominee and MAC Fellowship Grant Recipient RL BOYCE.
John Shaw, a Tennessee photographer has documented Folk Life in Mississippi for over twenty years. He is working towards his Master Thesis in Ethnomusicology at the University of Memphis. He is widely recognized by the Blues and Folk community from his wildly popular blog, The Delta Review.
